Here’s how to use this SASSA status check tool
1.Enter the ID number you used when applying for the R350 Grant.
2.Enter the phone number you provided during your SASSA R350 registration.
3.click submit button.
After entering the required information, our tool will provide you with your SASSA status, enabling you to view your R350 payment dates.
Here’s how to appeal your SASSA SRD R350 grant if your application has been declined
1.First visit srd.sassa.gov.za/appeals/ when you reach the page, click on the green button that will take you to where you can enter your South African ID number and phone number.
2.After entering the required information, click on the ‘Send Pin’ button. The SASSA organization team will then send a pin. Enter the pin you received on the page and click the submit button.
3.Now you will be able to provide the reason why your R350 SASSA grant was declined.
Then, the SASSA organization team will check if you qualify for the SASSA R350 grant. If you qualify, you will receive it the following month and ensure your bank account has less than R600, or else you won’t receive the payment for that month.

How change your phone number for SASSA?
- First visit the SASSA website srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/contact
- Log in using your ID and application ID.
- Look for the option to update your phone details.
- Follow the instructions to enter your new phone number.
- You might receive requests for additional information or proofs via SMS or email.
If the SASSA official website gives you errors, call the SASSA call center at 0800 60 10 11 and request an agent to update your contact details.
